Last month the ladies at Coolum honoured the men teachers on Valentine's Day. They received lots of chocolates. Last Friday was the time for the men to honour the ladies.
This is the custom in Japan. Normally this happens on March 14 but we do this on parade so everyone can see what happens.
It is said that the return gift from the men should be two or three times in value what was given by the ladies. I am not sure if it worked out like that! White chocolates are offered to the teachers, thanks to the men for the white feast. Chopstick relays on both parades provided a lot of fun.
Thank you to Sensei Wendy Jonas for organising this annual activity.
