Marcoola Community Bank branch
Giving back to Coolum State School and here to stay
Did you know there is a bank just up from the road that’s owned by our North Shore community? Yes, it’s ours.
Marcoola Community Bank branch of Bendigo Banknot only providesthe North Shore with the certainty of banking services, but it also enables our community to bank the way we want, whether it’s face to face, electronically or over the phone.
So far, more than $700,000has been given back to local to community groups, sporting clubs, organisations and of course, Coolum State School.Manager of the Marcoola Community Bank branch, Kerryn Vincart says the branch gives the North Shore community a real say in its own future.
“We’re here because the people of the North Shore said they wanted their own bank,” Kerryn shared.
“Our shareholders and customers love us because we’re also a full-service bank. Our branches provide excellent individual customer service as well as business banking of any size. Bendigo Bank lives by the principal of feeding into the prosperity of the North Shore, not from it,” Kerryn said.
The Marcoola Community Bank has proudly sponsored Coolum Carnival for many years and is also involved with the school in other projects like the East Timor Shoe Boxes collection every year in conjunction with Rotary Club.
The branch has also become a partner with Sunshine Coast Council in the refurbishment of the Coolum Civic Centre and Jack Morgan Park, and Marcoola Street scape projects.
“Why do we do it?” Kerryn asked. “Because it’s through our customers’ banking that we generate profits that go into supporting our community. It’s why our team loves coming to work each day and why we’re growing and changing with our community. We believe successful customers and successful communities create a successful bank - in that order,” she said.
