It is great to be back after eight weeks Long Service Leave. Amongst other things we welcomed our fourth grandchild, attended my brother’s 70th birthday party and attended the 150th celebrations of the town I was raised in. We also spent four weeks in far north Queensland with the visit to Cape York the highlight. We were able to visit the northern most northern point of mainland Australia just north of Bamaga.
The residents of Cape York do a fabulous job of welcoming and catering for the needs of the many tourists who visit this remote part of Queensland. If you like a bit of red dust and a few corrugations then I can thoroughly recommend an adventure to Cape York. We travelled 6349 kilometres.
As usual, there are many activities taking place at Coolum and we thank our staff for the opportunities, which they provide for our students.
