On Saturday 4 October, the School State Karate Championships were held in Brisbane. This event was open to all Karate students from Queensland Schools. Schools are rewarded on their student’s participation and results.
Congratulations to Caitlin Jones who won a Gold medal in Sparring and a Bronze medal for Kata, Harrison Allen a Silver medal in Kata and PJ Doughty a Silver medal in Sparring and Bronze medal in Kata.
All three students from Shotokan Karate did extremely well for the School. Harrison and PJ were presented with certificates for placing in the overall State Champions of 2008.

The 2008 Coolum Carnival is only 1 week away and the success of the Carnival is dependant upon volunteers assisting with the various stalls. Teachers very much appreciate any assistance that you can give in either preparation or working on the stall during the night. Donations are welcome, especially Lucky Bottles. |

Next Monday, 20th October will be a Pupil Free Day as all staff will be involved in professional development activities
