Learn to Swim Program – Term 4 PDF Print E-mail
Beginning in week 3, students in Years 1 and 4 will participate in a Learn to Swim program for one lesson each week at Coolum Aquatic Centre. The program runs for seven weeks and caters for experienced and novice swimmers. Information notices have been sent home with further details. Students travel by bus to the pool and are supervised by qualified instructors. Permission notes and payment need to be returned by Wednesday, October 15.
 
Arts Expo 2008 PDF Print E-mail
Thank you to our whole community for a spectacular Arts Expo 2008! It is a credit to all of our staff, students and parents for the work, commitment and enthusiam given to the arts program at Coolum. The night certainly showcased the fantastic learning opportunities that Coolum State School offers to all students.
 
Disability Action Week PDF Print E-mail
The theme for Disability Action Week is “See beyond the disability”. It is about shining the spotlight on the experiences, aspirations and contributions of people with a disability. It is also a time to celebrate diversity and to open new doors to inclusion and access for everyone.
The butterfly is the symbol of Disability Week. At the Special Education Unit, the children will be decorating butterflies to show that everyone is a valued member of the school community.

News from 1C and 1F PDF Print E-mail
Year 1C and 1F would like to invite you to come and see a collection of the work we have covered this term. We have written descriptions on animals, chicken diaries, designed our own creature and completed some fantastic art works.
Place: 1C and 1F Classroom
When: Thursday 18 September from 2.15pm – 2.40pm.
Who: Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, caregivers.
