Children’s Book Week: 18 – 22 August 2008 Theme: Fuel your Mind
Book Week is celebrated each year in mid August. The focus during this week is on bringing children and books together. Parents and Teachers have an important role to play in introducing books to children and in generating an interest in books of all kinds.
In June, the Children’s Council of Australia released what it believed to be the best books for children published in the previous year. From the numerous entries submitted, it released a shortlist of books in a variety of categories. The winners will be announced and presented on Friday 15 August.
