The Coolum State School Special Education Unit was established in 2001. Currently the SEU is housed in the two storey building near Coolum -Yandina Road. This building was originally situated in South Coolum Road near Warrack St. and was the first building on the current site.

Students eligible to be serviced by the unit include:

• Intellectually Impaired
• Students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
• Physically Impaired

Advisory Visiting Teacher Services are available for:

• Visually Impaired
• Hearing Impaired
• Speech /Language Impaired

At Coolum State School SEU we currently assist with the inclusive programs of 28 children in the school. As well as working in classrooms with children we provide alternate programs .
