At Coolum State School, computers and Internet access are provided for students as educational resources.

 

While using the Internet I will:

·        use only sites that my teacher directs me to;

·        use sites to complete tasks given by my teacher;

·       report quietly to the teacher if I accidentally link to any inappropriate sites.

 

While using the Internet I will not:

·        use searches, unless under the direct instruction and supervision of my teacher;

·        reveal any personal details (name, address, telephone number) of myself or others;

·        click on advertising or email links;

·        use Hotmail or other Web based email accounts; or

·        attempt to download any programs or files.

 

While using the computers, I will:

·        respect the rights of other students. I will not access anyone else’s folders or documents;

·        treat the equipment with care. This includes keeping the workstation area clean and tidy; and

·        report problems with any equipment to the teacher or the Library staff.

 

I understand that if I do not stay within these guidelines I could lose access to computers and the Internet for a period of time.
